After a great first few episodes, “Chapter 4” of Legion has a lot to live up to. While “Chapter 3” was primarily about David discovering his powers, “Chapter 4” is about discovering pieces of David’s past. As we have come to know, David himself is an unreliable source, but this episode actually doesn’t feature the subjective view of past episodes. As far as we know, the scenes happening in the “real world” are true, and not some faulty memory or projection as we have grown accustomed to. The seeming objectivity of this chapter allows a lot of revelations (and even more questions) regarding David’s past.
