‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ “The Return” Easter Eggs And Other References

Agents

Agents

This week on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., they have escaped The Framework, however, things in the real world are just as hectic. Not only did they have to escape a The Superior’s underwater base, and deal with the psychological issues stemming from their time in the virtual world, but they also have a superpowered Aida to deal with, and she’s learning what it is to be human.

With Mack deciding to remain in The Framework, the rest of the agents have to adjust to their “new” life. After all, from their perspective, The Framework is real for them and their virtual memories are just as real. Coulson and May awaken at The Superior’s underwater base, and they have to deal with him. Well, they have to deal with multiple “hims.” Meanwhile, Daisy and Jemma awaken on the S.H.I.E.L.D. jet that has been under the radar and has been using all its power to keep them alive in The Framework. Fitz is reeling from the pain and torture that he inflicted while in The Framework. He also has to deal with Aida (now officially Ophelia) as she is now a superpowered Inhuman. Tonight’s episode was interesting, engaging, and emotional. You can take a look at our review here.

Tonight’s episode had a few Easter Eggs related to Marvel comics, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and other things as well. Let’s take a look at a few of them. Click Next to continue….
